Mycocaster

Mycocaster is a guitar grown from mycelium and recycled paper. The ethos behind this project is all about growing resources instead of extracting them, reducing the use of rare woods. Its interchangeable core (bass/mids/treble) is home-grown with agricultural by-products and mycelium, while the outer shell is made from compressed paper. It blends transducer sounds from the mushroom substrate with a magnetic pickup for a unique sonic palette. I cannot thank enough everyone who took part in this adventure as it takes a village. And thank you to the Musee de la Philharmonie de Paris team for seeing in this instrument an ecologic manifesto.
